Bio-based admixtures (BBAs) are emerging as a promising class of additives for concrete, offering a more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional chemical admixtures. Derived from various natural or biological sources, including plants, animals, and microorganisms, BBAs have shown potential in enhancing the performance characteristics of concrete in several key areas. Some bio-based admixtures are Recycled waste which are produced by various industries like thermal power plant, steel plants, brick & stone industry, coal industry & sugar industry etc. sugarcane Bagasse ash (SCBA) is one of the main sources of recycled waste for civil engineering construction backgrounds. Sugarcane bagasse is an agricultural waste that can be transformed by incineration into a cement replacement material for various cementing purposes. Sugarcane bagasse is a fibrous by-product of the sugar refining process. The residual sugarcane, known as bagasse, is burned at high temperatures under uncontrolled conditions to produce ash after the juice from the sugarcane has been extracted. In this project the bio-based admixture, Sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) will be used for enhancing the properties like physical, chemical and mechanical by partially replacement of cement. The replacement of cement is carried out at different percentages, such as 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% and its impact on the characteristics of concrete such as compressive strength will be examined.
