Abstract

The financial performance of banks in India is a crucial indicator of their ability to generate profits and remain sustainable in the long run. This research paper aims to analyze the comparative analysis on financial performance of banks in India between public and private sectors and Andhra radish and Telangana states. For this purpose the study used reliability, assurance, tangibility, empathy and responsibility indicators of the banks. The study utilizes primary data from the bank customers of both public and private sector, and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. In conclusion, the findings demonstrate that both public and private sector banks play an important role in providing reliable and satisfactory banking services, but their strengths differ across various dimensions of financial performance. Public sector banks have an advantage in reliability, assurance, and tangible facilities, which contributes to greater customer confidence and a sense of security. In contrast, private sector banks perform better in empathy, customer relationships, prompt service delivery, and technological support. The study also reveals clear regional differences, with Telangana banks generally receiving more favourable customer perceptions in assurance, tangible facilities, and empathy, while Andhra Pradesh banks show better performance in certain aspects of responsibility and customer support. Since significant differences are observed across the five dimensions, the findings confirm that customers perceive meaningful differences between public and private sector banks. Overall, the results emphasize that banks can improve customer satisfaction and loyalty by strengthening service quality, adopting customer-oriented practices, investing in modern technology and infrastructure, and providing personalized and efficient banking services.
